Question by deonssweety: How do I remove brass stain from wood furniture?
I have an old dresser that had brass drawer pulls. I want to change out the hardware. But when I take off the old, there is a stain in the shape of the pull that the brass has left. What can I use to remove this?

Best answer:

Answer by hrly
Try cleaning the fronts with mineral spirits first, that will clean any grime accumulation from over the years. But the discoloration may never go away because the hardware has hidden the wood under it from light. Light changes the color of wood over time and can be only removed by refinishing.

If the piece is valuable it may be better to do nothing or clean the old hardware.

Good Luck.

Can a digital television tuner with separate outputs to an HDTV monitor and a DVD recorder permit the recording of one program while simultaneously watching a different one?
P.S. We don’t have cable TV

Best answer:

Answer by Shannon C
Yes – but both your TV and DVD Recorder need to be tuned in first.

To record want you want , select the channel on the DVD Recorder and press record.

To watch a different program at the same time , you just need to put the TV off AV inputs back to normal TV. You should be watching your digital TV via an AV Input on the TV such as AV1 or AV2.

Question by Chilo: How to take apart a bassoon with thread tendons?
I have a brand new Renard bassoon and I figured out you’re not supposed to grease the tendon threads that act as cork for the instrument, but it’s extremely difficult to get the instrument apart. Is there something I can use or do to make taking apart the bassoon easier without bending tubes or fighting it?

Best answer:

Answer by John
Put paraffin wax on the thread tendons, this should make it easier to take them apart. Also make sure that when you’re taking it out you aren’t bending any keys by squeezing them. Hope this helps!

Best answer:

Answer by Rahz
It is all about the remote. Either:
Get a new universal remote with the codes listed in the book
find the remote for the Emerson
Go to the website for the maker of the REMOTE you are trying to program and see if they have the book of codes online.
